Build a school

Currently the government of Uganda has adopted a program called Universal Primary Education (UPE). UPE provides for 3 children per family to attend primary education, up to grade seven, though it has resulted in massive increases in enrolment. However, as this was not matched by an increase in resources, the majority of poor children in Uganda still cannot access a better education. Children attend overcrowded and poorly managed schools, and poor teaching, absenteeism and a lack of learning materials. This results in pupils dropping out before completing primary school

What we do

We believe that excellence education will only be achieved when parents, children, teachers and government education staff recognize the key problems each school faces:

0ur work involves

·        Building and improving school buildings

·         improving standards of teaching and learning

·         strengthening school management

By working together, schools have increased their chances of a brighter future
